Temple tradition tells how a vision of Hanuman led the poet Tulsidas to establish the shrine. Visitors may recognise the offerings of vermilion and sweets and hear the Hanuman Chalisa recited. The temple also hosts the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh, a gathering for classical music and dance.
