Kabir Chaura is both a devotional and a musical neighbourhood. Kabir Math commemorates the poet-saint, whose verses speak about devotion and religious practice. The streets around it also have a history of Hindustani music and open-air gatherings, including the Gulab Bari tradition described by Incredible India.
